The Pay screen lists one payslip per period, newest first, with Net pay and a status on each row. Before anything has been run the screen says so plainly: “Payslips appear here after your first payroll run.”
The three states of a payment
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Calculated | An admin ran the period; the amount exists and is being reviewed. |
| Approved | The amount has been approved and is waiting for the actual transfer. |
| Paid | Payroll has marked this payment as paid out. “Paid on” gets its date only now. |
What a payslip is made of
Open a row for your full payslip — the same breakdown payroll sees:
- Base earnings — priced from your compensation profile: on an hourly profile, the window’s regular minutes times your hourly rate; on a monthly profile, the period’s monthly amount, which does not move with the hours. The “Timesheet days” table below lists the days of the period this payment carries, with each day’s regular minutes.
- Earnings — everything above base: overtime, bonus, commission, reimbursement, PTO payout and so on.
- Deductions — income tax, National Health Insurance, labor insurance, supplementary NHI, plus any other deduction.
- Gross pay − Total deductions = Net pay.
What “Waiting for the next run” means
A strip sometimes appears above the payslip list titled Waiting for the next run: adjustments recorded against you that no pay period has collected yet — a freshly approved claim, for example. They sit in the pool until a run of a CLAIMS stream that takes their category (the kind that pays claims, bonuses and the like), for a period ending on or after the date shown on the row, collects them onto that period’s payslip; a SALARY stream, which pays salaries, never collects them.
- Approved rows are collected by such a run.
- Pending approval rows are shown too (you want to know they’re queued), but they are only paid once approved.
- Once a row is collected by a period it appears on that period’s payslip and leaves this strip — the same money never reads as two payments.
